Signature Presentations

NeuroArchitecture:
4 neuroscience discoveries which changed how we design
NeuroArchitecture is maturing from an emerging field into a practice-shaping discipline. This session synthesizes two decades of research through four neuroscience discoveries that are already changing how we design. Grounded in case studies, the talk emphasizes how these findings are translating from labs into ethical standards, operational metrics, and design decisions. The session concludes by projecting ahead to what’s next and how these advances will redefine NeuroArchitecture’s role in shaping health.

Measuring Architecture’s Impact on Health: A NeuroArchitecture Perspective
This session positions exposomics as the next phase of NeuroArchitecture, shifting the field from studying isolated design features to understanding how interacting environmental variables— such as light, air, sound, materials, and social conditions shape neural, cognitive, and physiological outcomes in real-world settings. By integrating neuroscience, biometrics, and environmental sensing, the talk outlines a transition from human-centered design toward human-integrated systems that actively shape health at scale.

Built Beautiful:
An Architecture and Neuroscience Love Story

with narration by Martha Stewart

In this documentary film, neuroscience gives architects a new lens through which to consider the built environment's influence on health and wellness.
